Dr. Shyamasree Dasgupta is an Associate Professor in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Indian Institute of Technology Mandi. She has completed Ph.D. in Economics from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India with SYLFF Fellowship. Shyamasree’s area of research includes energy, environment and climate change. Currently her research focuses on climate related vulnerability and adaptation mechanisms in South Asia. She has published in journals such as Energy Policy, Energy Economics, Natural Hazards, Development Engineering, etc. She earned her master’s degree from the Delhi School of Economics. She is interested in exploring how different economic sectors respond to climate change policies designed to board the path of sustainable development, and her doctoral thesis deals with the responses of Indian industries. She enjoys travelling and working with people from various parts of the world.
