Mr. Dipanjan Mishra

Dipanjan Mishra is an independent researcher, educator, and environmental practitioner working at the intersection of climate change, cultural geography, community resilience, and mangrove ecosystems. His work focuses particularly on the Sundarban delta, where he engages with local communities on climate adaptation, disaster risk reduction, sustainable agriculture, environmental education, and cultural conservation. He has collaborated with academic institutions, NGOs, and community-based organisations on research and field-based projects related to mangrove restoration, climate resilience, migration, education, and livelihood sustainability. He is also involved in alternative and experiential education initiatives that connect children and communities with nature, local knowledge, and sustainable practices. With a background in Geography and Education, Dipanjan combines research, teaching, GIS and remote sensing with grassroots engagement to develop locally grounded approaches to environmental and social challenges.
