Kabindra Sharma from SaciWATERs, as part of policy advocacy, made a detailed presentation reflecting upon the evolution of policies in the international arena. He emphasized how it started gaining relevance in the 1970s and formally became part of all discourse across the globe after the end of the Cold War in the 1990s. Group discussions, presentations were made by a group leader from each group, reflecting upon the major inputs received from the members. The youths who had come from different colleges and member NGOs from India, Bangladesh, and the Maldives were involved in the intensive discussions and shared their personal experiences over the years on climate change. At the end of the forum, youth participants took the climate pledge, where they pledged to be climate ambassadors and work towards bringing positive change in the society they live in.
