Visit to Bordeaux, France by Telengana State Government Officials

As part of the project activity, four members from Telangana State Government and three members from SaciWATERs visited Bordeaux, France from 14th to 21st September. During their stay in France, there were many brainstorming sessions between SaciWATERs project team and Government officials with respect to how to maximize the utility of the project findings for the policy makers. It was during that trip, the decision to identify the hydro-geological settings of the city and prepare a hydro-geological mapping has been taken. In addition to that, in order to reduce the financial and technical burden of piped water supply, Government officials asked SaciWATERs to evaluate the present infrastructure of rainwater harvesting and prepare a cost-benefit analysis of rainwater harvesting in comparison to piped water line (from the Godavari 180 km away). All required data will be provided by the Government.
